Chrono – Early Morning Valencia [One Of A Kind]

Jelly For The Babies One Of A Kind imprint returns with a brand new single from Chrono. The Serbian artist is fresh off excellent releases on The Purr and Submarine Vibes. Now making his One Of A Kind debut, Chrono presents his latest studio creation 'Early Morning Valencia' alongside remixes from Silinder and Demitros & Dante Pippi.

For those that follow Chrono, you know he's equally adept at producing deep, groovy house or classic progressive house. On 'Early Morning Valencia' he opts for the latter with a strong chugging groove and ethereal vocal motifs. Granular effects and timely stabs fill in the framework, masterfully intertwined with the vocal as the piece strips down into a dramatic break. Intense but tasteful, just the right amount of modulation makes for an electric moment before the beats drop and a driving finale ensues.

First up on the remixes is progressive house savant Silinder. The Irish artist is making his second appearance on the Serbian imprint with the first coming in May of last year. Progressive house fans fell in love with Silinder's groovy sounds years ago and his following has only gotten stronger in recent times. Here he puts a deeper, more reflective twist on 'Early Morning Valencia' with great results. The smooth flow throughout the first act and into the break is a joy to listen to but it's the emotive centrepiece which really grabs your attention here, perfectly utilizing the vocal in a more indistinct way and wrapping a gorgeous melody around it to boot.

The release concludes with Demitros & Dante Pippi providing a more direct and energetic take. The tempo comes up and the low ends drives along with a rolling momentum. The duo have created a new lead theme which makes for a modern sounding twist. The second act brings things right down to haunting cinematics however, before gently building rhythm as a bridge into a purring third act finale. These are likely new names for a lot of progressive house fans out there and you'll no doubt be hearing a lot more from them in the future. A great remix which caps off a solid release for One Of A Kind once again. Don't miss it.
