Born in Toronto, Canada but raised in Cordoba, Argentina where he ventured into the country's nightlife at the age of sixteen. Already an accomplished DJ and producer by the age of twenty, Christopher was a regular at Infierno, Dorian Gray and Feel Club, where his blend of progressive sounds delighted club goers. Early releases courtesy of Balkan Connection and BC2 eventually led to recent outings via Nick Warren's The Soundgarden, MNL, One Of A Kind and Transensations. Now adding Deepwibe Underground to his resume, Christopher debuts on the Estonian imprint with a two-track showcase entitled 'Numen'. Looking to steal some hearts on the dance floor, Christopher's 'Numen' is both breathtakingly beautiful and tough and driving. Built around a wave of bubbly rhythms and a full, muscular groove, it's the evolving melodic storyboard which ultimately steals the show. Cinematic soundscapes emerge as the first act progresses, gently blanketing the electric pulses and fragmented melodies, before coming to full fruition during a supersonic break complete with heartfelt moments and a tension filled build which launches you into an exhilarating finale. Meanwhile, the companion piece 'Furtive' follows a similar sonic profile but operates on a dubbier, more groove based narrative. Quirky hooks marry well with a swing heavy groove, building momentum smoothly as glowing overlays emerge for moments of warmth and reflection, none more impactful than during the break which perfectly sets the course for an optimistic conclusion. With his Deepwibe Underground debut Christopher continues to showcase some of the progressive genres most nostalgic sounds, with 'Numen' going down as one of this all time best. Highly recommended.
