Celene & Arthesia Vs Dalnulla – Land of Forgiveness [Eat My Hat Music]

The latest release from Ziger’s Eat My Hat imprint finds label artists Celene & Arthesia Vs Dalnulla presenting their first ever collaboration. Chris Alex aka Celene hails from Greece and made his label debut in March of this year with the well received ‘Fantastic Creatures’. Meanwhile, Italian duo Arturo Mazzia and Alberto Chiappo aka Arthesia Vs Dalnulla presented their Eat My Hat debut ‘Reaction’ in June. Now combining their creative powers for the first time, the trio return to the label with ‘Land of Forgiveness’ alongside a remix from Ziger.

Drawing on a variety of striking designs and peak time concepts, it is the original mix which leads the release off. On a backbone of punchy beats comes mountainous bass tones and a crunchy rhythmic cadence. Intense yet fluid, trippy effects and ghostly vocal wails encase the framework, as quirky arps and super sonic sweeps converge in a perfect sonic marriage. The narrative shifts as the breakdown commences with buzzing lines stealing the air, as modulation rises towards a cavernous drop and powerful final act.

Rounding out the release is label boss Ziger who provides the lone interpretation of ‘Land of Forgiveness’. Fresh off the release of his ‘Still Here’ single, the Greek artist continues to be a Beatport chart staple. In a year already highlighted by a D-Formation collaboration and several Top five remix entries, the Eat My Hat boss delivers another magnificent rework here. Backed by a tough, rolling groove the Greek artist’s detailed percussion and electric rhythms quickly appease the senses. Cosmic effects add a flair for the dramatic, while vocal fragments and astral arps add to it’s otherworldly feel. Stripping down into the main break, free flowing modulation, cascading clusters and gaseous atmospheres unite for a gorgeous blend of melody and colour, before a powerful drop ushers in an exhilarating finale. A stunning rework from Ziger, which caps off another excellent offering from his Eat My Hat imprint. Highly recommended.
