Anton Stelsi – Voice Of Heaven [Astrowave]

Anton Stelsi debuts on Stellar Fountain's Astrowave with 'Voice Of Heaven'. The Russian artist has found a home on John Johnson's ICONYC imprints, having appeared on both the main and Noir division's earlier this year. Now fresh off a contribution to the Awen Records 'Catarsis' EP, Anton debuts on Astrowave alongside remixes from Michael Ritter and G-Falex.

Known for his astral leanings, Anton furthers that ethos with 'Voice Of Heaven'. Stripped, punchy and full of mystical qualities it's definitely a production closely tied to the Afterlife brand of techno. Simple but effective arps and pronounced percussion add hypnotic drive to the tough foundation, but the standout element is a haunting vocal narrative which gets used just enough to play a major role in the track but not to the point of being over bearing.

The first remix comes from Michael Ritter who returns to the label following a remix of 'Kaustav' by Echo Daft & MiGARA from September of this year. Also finding a home on Greyloop's Dynamica imprint, Michael now provides a top notch interpretation of 'Voice Of Heaven'. The tempo comes up a touch and so does the intensity with a variety of crisp effects and amazing use of the vocal elements. Quirky synth hooks add an esoteric mood at points, while a tightly wound arp delivers a sizeable dose of hypnotic drive.

Rounding out the release and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Voice Of Heaven' is G-Falex'. Although having made his debut on 3rd Avenue's 2016 Spring Sampler we've not heard much from the Argentinean artist since, apart from two outings on OLD SQL Recordings. He certainly makes his mark here with a haunting rendition of 'Voice Of Heaven'. Taking a cue from the original, G-Falex crafts a tough and relatively stomping groove with wispy atmospherics adding depth and intrigue to the proceedings. The main break offers a dynamic moment, carefully building to a powerful apex while a stripped back drop showcases that gorgeous astral line in all it's glory. A great remix from G-Falex capping off a top notch melodic techno offering from Astrowave. Don't miss it.
