Andrologic – Metanoia (Part II) [Stellar Fountain]

Stellar Fountain kicks off the new year showcasing new interpretations of Andrologic’s ‘Metanoia’. Originally released in July it showcased the Croatian artist’s melody crafting prowess and also included two incredible remixes from Controlwerk and Arno & Dirisio. Now as 2019 begins Part Two of the release arrives with fresh renditions from Jiminy Hop and Goraieb.

First up Jimmy Hop returns to the label for his third appearance following his ‘Saturn’ single from February of last year. The Russian artist has been on great form all throughout 2018 and it continues into the new year with a top interpretation of ‘Metanoia’. Already receiving great reactions pre-release Jiminy has provided a groovy, uplifting slice of progressive house here. Smooth and rolling from the outset, momentum builds quickly through fluid rhythms and a beefy percussive section. Spacey arps only add to it’s cosmic tranquillity, perfectly setting up a break which is both poignant and exhilarating.

Rounding out the release is Goraieb who makes his label debut here. The Brazilian artist closed out 2018 with a remix of Pedro Capelossi’s ‘Blue Dream’ for BC2 and also showcased his music on Just Movement and Nube Music earlier in the year. Here he provides a lovely laid back take on ‘Metanoia’ which complements Jiminy’s more peak time oriented version wonderfully. Deep and dreamy, there’s a grandiose flair to the melodic elements, almost soaring in a way but tastefully executed and played out to perfection during an expansive break which ultimately highlights the piece. Lovely work from Goraieb and a great release to begin the year from Stellar Fountain. Don't miss it.
