Andrei Niconoff returns to Deersky's Soundteller Records this week for his debut EP entitled 'Nebulart/Etherea'. Based in Mexico, Andrei first appeared on the Polish imprint in October of 2016 with 'Fuego Blanco', a single he co-produced with Massive Harmony Records boss Julian Rodriguez. Also owning releases on Balkan Connection's BC2 division and Clinique Recordings, Andrei now returns to Soundteller with a new EP longside remixes from Paul Angelo & Don Argento and Zalvador.

The EP begins with the tranquil sounds of 'Nebulart' which falls nicely inline with some of Andrei's smoothest most entrancing work to date. There's always been an effortless feel about his productions and this is silky smooth with subtle yet emotive melodies. Clocking in at nine minutes, it's a two minute break which sits at the core of the track, effortless shifting the mood into meditative territory before a tepid rush of beats and atmosphere take you away to gorgeous finale. The companion piece 'Etherea' is a touch more trippy yet still quite emotive. A bubbly arp leads it's momentous drive while wispy atmospheres and glowing textures add further depth and warmth. Again, the delivery is effortless which makes it such a joy to listen to and will no doubt be a pleasure for the dance floor at the right moment.

Paul Angelo & Don Argento return to the label and continue their string of massive remixes with yet another one here. The Cyprus based duo overhaul 'Nebulart' into a haunting slice of progressive techno, complete with ghostly vocal refrains, astral electronics and a rolling groove which sits as a perfect anchor. The cosmic vibe of the piece gets further explored during the break with timely shifts in modulation and a wave of percussive flurries which eventually sparks a huge drop. Paul & Don have had the magic touch for a while and this is another one that is sure to show up in the sets of the world's largest progressive house DJs.

The release concludes with Zalvador returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of 'Etherea'. The Colombian artist made his Soundteller debut in November of last year with the well received 'Boreal' EP. Now embarking on his first ever official remix he provides a quality take on 'Etherea' to the round the release out. The arpy leanings of the original remain but with a much creamier more delicate feel. It's quite an imaginative interpretation and one which not only carries a great sense of space but with a timeless sensibility that delights with each successive loop. Definitely looking forward to hearing more from Zalvador who is yet another artist that Soundteller unearthed and gave a home to. Highly recommended.
