Madloch’s Sound Avenue returns, presenting new interpretations of Agustin Basulto’s ‘Regen’ EP. Originally released in March of 2017 it found the Argentinean artist showcasing his diverse sonic palette across four tracks, one of which received an excellent remix from Pole Folder. Now as 2018 moves into the spring season Sound Avenue invites Roger Martinez, Adam Husa and label boss Madloch to reinvent a cross section of the EP.

Roger Martinez is no stranger to Sound Avenue having remixed ‘Haze Over Night’ by Matias Vila and Madloch in 2015. Ever consistent, the Dutch artist continues to shine with recent outings on Flow Vinyl, Sudbeat and Guy J’s electronica imprint Armadillo. Now returning to Sound Avenue for his second remix Roger takes ‘Calma’ into spiritual territory. On a backbone of warm, punchy beats comes perfectly contoured bass and an energetic percussive cadence. A soft atmospheric resonance slowly evelopes the framework, initiating a main break of cross-cultural vocal motifs, further shifting the narrative deeper into the subconscious. A heady interpretation from Roger.

Adam Husa has been making his mark on the deep house underground over the last year. Hailing from Montreal, the Canadian artist is not only responsible for some of the city’s finest events but has also showcased his music on flora and Magician On Duty. Now making his much anticipated Sound Avenue debut Adam provides a unique take on ‘Tercir Desliz’. Following a DJ friendly intro full of anticipatory vibes; warm bass swells, organic percussion and subtle but oh so gorgeous harmonics shift the energy into a glowing second act. Cascading, carnival-like motifs combined with dynamic stabs add an emotive energy to the rolling groove, completing this captivating seven minute journey.

The release concludes with Sound Avenue label boss Madloch who is fresh off a great single on Magician On Duty. Now following gigs in Berlin, Bucharest and Mexico City, the Belgian artist presents his first production of the year with a stellar rendition of ‘Four Of Us’. Although Madloch’s recent production work has treaded deeper waters he aims squarely at a peak time dance floor here. Perfectly dialled, a thumping first act builds tension through razor sharp acid lines and commanding percussion, before melting down into a dramatic break. From a slow decay comes a strong theme, flowing through mind bending modulation as the acid line sizzles for a monstrous apex and epic finale. A huge remix from Madloch which caps off a well rounded remix edition of Agustin Basulto’s ‘Regen’ EP.
